- Prepare surface or build forms for concrete placement
- Install rebar and/or wire mesh for tensile strength and to hold shotcrete
- Place shotcrete until structural form is obtained
- Trowel shotcrete to obtain desired texture of finished product
For a repair of structural concrete, Coastal Gunite Construction Company typically performs the following steps:
- Chip out deteriorated/spalled concrete until sound concrete is reached
- Pressure wash surface to remove any dust and clean rebar
- Remove/replace corroded rebar and/or steel
- Place shotecrete until original lines of structure are obtained
- Trowel shotcrete to obtain desired texture of finished product
